The word is out! There will be 5 zip lines and 4 "unique features" at the base to enjoy this summer.  From the San Moritz you can easily just walk over to the base area ... and zip around! :)     Riding the chair lift to the top and walking or biking down is a must.  You need to buy a ticket at the base. The walk to the base from the San Moritz is thru a lovely field of flowers.

The Crested Butte area has some of the best mountain biking in the country. This isn‘t happenstance. Many believe that true mountain biking really began in Crested Butte. The more you ride here, the more you realize why mountain biking endures here.

Fantasy Ranch offers lovely beginner rides up Snodgrass Mountain, a gorgeous ride just across the road from Mt. Crested Butte – just drive up Hwy. 135 past Mt. Crested Butte towards Gothic and before too far it’s on your left. They also offer amazing pack trips to Aspen and to the back country. The owner Chuck, is affable and hardworking! Calendar: Check out the family fun at the Pike Derby on June 11, 2011! The annual Taylor Park Marina Fishing Derby offers cash prizes for longest northern pike, largest pike by weight, most pike caught, and largest trout caught in the Taylor Park Reservoir. New this year: Rubber Ducky Races: on July 4 and on Labor Day, Sept. 7, come search the lake for Rubber Duckies and win cash prizes!

This man wandered into the lower Taylor and caught 4 or 5 large trout right in front of my eyes.
